Two Challenges with One Card

This card answers the CST Weekly Challenge #4 to use these colors or an aproximation of them: Regal Rose, Wild Wasabi, Tempting Turquoise, Early Espresso, and white.
It also fits the "Make a summer card" challenge on the Creative Cuttlebuggers site. To me, a lake, the St. Lawrence River or the sea are perfect places for a summer vacation.
The stamp is House Mouse Catchin' the Rays.

I finally made cards this week! The one featuring Tigger is for the ink-stains July Challenge, and the other is for this week's challenge, for ink-stains.

New Art

Aren't you glad I'm back? Don't answer that. At least, I'm not comming back empty-handed. These were made for the weekly and monthly challenges on the ink-stains website.

Two Stones with One Card!

Yes, folks, this card is doing double service! It's my entry for this week's Ink-Stains challenge, and it uses cs from my OSW. Don't ask how long it took to figure it out. The fact that the challenge was to use a card sketch helped. This week, the card sketch comes curtesy of Di Hickman at http://dihickman.blogspot.com/ Scroll down to her March 11 entry for the sketch. Thanks, Di!

Oh, yes, the translation of the message is, "Yoo-hoo, it's me!" Sounds better in French.

Have a great day, everyone!

Please don't psychoanalyze Alice & co.!

I can't believe I forgot to post the card I made with one of my Alice stamps! Alice Who??? Alice of Wonderland fame, of course. Yes, I know, the caterpillar is smoking a hookah, which is traditionally loaded with some version of pot, and is, moreover, sitting on a magic mushroom. Enough said! I prefer to focus on my childhood experience of the scene, which, for me, was sheer delight at the thought of talking to a caterpillar.

In the 1950's Walt Disney film version, instead of disappearing into the surrounding grass, the caterpillar metamorphoses into a butterfly. I like to think of the possibility of transforming myself, by dint of the struggle to improve my virtues and conquer my faults. No magic mushrooms needed for that!

This was also the ink-stains weekly challenge/mingle for March 6-12. I'm including the card sketch/map for it. Site administrater Kim gives credit for the sketch to The Square Studio. Here's the link: http://papersquares.blogspot.com/

Varia

I looked up from the computer out my window this morning, and saw fat flakes of snow drifting down. One good thing about this: snow means the temperature has risen, and we've had enough -35-with-windchill days to last me until next winter.
The card is one I made for a challenge on one of the online stamping groups to which I belong. We were to do a card with stitching on it. Buttons are the one sewing craft I've managed to conquer. So that's what I did, made a sunflower with a button centre. However, the scan didn't produce a good image, since the button kept the lid from closing properly. I even covered the scanner with a blanket, to no avail. Therefore, it's hard to see the flowerpot and the word, "Friendship" stamped on it. Oh, well, on to the next stamping challenge!
